What are the characteristics of pipe thread lathes?

Pipe threading lathe, also known as pipe threading lathe, consists of three series: one is a horizontal lathe with a diameter of Φ400-1600 mm and a length of 750-10000 mm, the other is a pipe thread lathe with a spindle diameter of Φ130-440 mm, and the third It is a variety of large-hole lathes, large-end lathes, special machine tools, etc. with a spindle diameter of Φ130-440 mm. Products are widely used in mechanical processing in machinery manufacturing, petroleum, chemical, coal, geological exploration, urban water supply and drainage industries.

Pipe threading lathes generally have a large through hole on the spindle box. After the workpiece passes through the through hole, it is clamped by two chucks at both ends of the spindle for rotation. There are generally two ways to feed the tool: one is similar to a normal lathe by the lead screw to drive the slide and tool holder in front of the bed; the other is the flat comb on the slide in the center of the bed. The external thread cutting head (see automatic opening and closing thread cutting head) is cut into the workpiece and realized by moving before. Some machine tools for processing long tubes also have workpiece support devices. The pipe threading lathe has partially adopted digital control. For each revolution of the workpiece, the tool moves evenly by the distance of the selected pitch according to the number of feed pulses, which is very convenient for processing taper threads, changing the pitch and correcting the pitch error. This type of machine can process workpieces up to 15 meters in length and 400 mm in diameter.
