For example, a milling cutter with a diameter of 100mm has only 6 teeth, while a milling cutter with a diameter of 100mm has 8 teeth. Whether the cutter teeth are dense or not will affect the production efficiency and product quality. If the cutter teeth are dense, the production efficiency will be improved, and the quality of the workpiece will be better, but the densification of the cutter teeth will also lead to the inconvenience of chip removal. According to the diameter and size of cutter teeth, they can be divided into sparing teeth, serrated teeth and denser teeth. With a diameter of 25.4mm, 1 ~ 1.5 blades are used for rough machining of workpiece. The chip space is large. This kind of cutter is used for cutting soft materials that can produce continuous chip. Dentures are generally used for rough machining of cast iron and are also suitable for shallow cutting, narrow cutting of high temperature alloys and cutting without chip space. The axial cutting depth is 0.25 ~ 0.64mm. The cutting load of each tooth is small and the power required is not large, such as for the processing of thin wall materials. The size of the tooth spacing will determine the number of cutter teeth involved in the cutting process at the same time. At least one blade should be cutting during the cutting process to avoid the impact of milling, resulting in damage to the cutter and overloading of the machine.


      In addition, the selection of blade teeth must make the chip properly curly and easy to leave the cutting area. At the same time, the blade should have sufficient density to ensure that no less than one blade is cutting at any time during the cutting. Failure to guarantee this will cause severe impact, which will result in the breaking of the blade, the damage of the cutter and the overloading of the machine.
